Services

Strategy

Nothing is more important than your organization's plan for the future. Let us help you develop a future-focused strategic plan and develop a plan to implement it successfully.

We believe in strategic plans that are fast, affordable, simple, and practical. Our four-part process begins with a complete audit of your organization, and ends with creation of an implementation toolkit that will keep your strategies on track. We even include forward-looking organizational charts and revenue plans.

Audience

Not sure what to do to develop and build new audience or engage and identify your existing audience? Let us conduct a audience audit for your organization. We'll clarify your goals, develop a vision, and write you a smart but flexible audience roadmap that defines a clear path forward.

We believe that organizations of any size and budget can (and should) align themselves around their audience. We'll not only guide you about what to do (and not to do), we'll help you figure out how to pay for it.

Product and Business Dev

Does this sound familiar? You're so busy with the day-to-day demands of running your organization that it's impossible to find time to pursue new ideas or projects, or to revamp projects in need of major change.

Public Works specializes in applying the principles of entrepreneurship and design thinking to non-profit and media organizations, and we can help you jumpstart the projects that matter to your future.

Whether you are launching a local newsroom, creating a digital video unit, producing your first podcast, rethinking your programming or building a new education service, we'll work with you to develop a plan that brings your vision to life within the constraints of time and budget.

On-Demand Guidance

Transforming an organization is a uniquely challenging task. Let us serve as your change agent or "shadow COO," providing ongoing thought-partnership, on-demand troubleshooting, and a steady flow of ideas and solutions. It doesn't have to be lonely at the top.

This service is custom designed for the individual, but typically includes quarterly on-site visits, weekly meetings via video chat, on-demand communications, and a regular update email with the latest business, media, and technology news you need to know to push your organization forward.

Design Your Own

You know your organization. What do you need to make it a more focused, strategic, forward-thinking organization worthy of admiration and financial support? Tell us where you're stuck, and we'll see what we can do to help.
